Rachel Anding grew up in Greatham, East Hampshire before moving to the Northern Marianas which molded her into equal parts bibliophile and mermaid. She currently resides in Minnesota and is a freelance artist, tea-fiend, curator of curiosities, traveler, manager of an exotic managerie and writer of dark fantasy, magical realism, steampunk and horror.
She is the recipient of the 2013 C.J. Henderson Award from Microhorror for her story Musings of a Celestial Cyclops, and appears on Ellen Datlow’s Best Horror of the Year Vol.7 for her story Grandma Elspeth’s Enchiridion for Domestic Harmony published in the anthology American Nightmare (Kraken Press, 2014).
